At Levelit Floor Leveling, we take pride in providing a concrete grinding service for the Denver Metro Area. We can grind down high spots, remove adhesives and paints prior to any floor install. After grinding the concrete, we can also level the floor using floor leveler.

HOW MUCH DOES GRINDING  COST? This can vary depending on factors such as any pre-existing paints, adhesives, mortars, accessibility, etc.. There can typically be a wide range any where from $1,000 - $30,000 for most projects. Feel free to call us at 303-728-4531 to give you a better idea and to narrow down that range for your project. If it sounds like we are in the ball park, we offer free -in-home estimates.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO GRIND THE CONCRETE SUBSTRATE BEFORE INSTALLING FLOORING? If the flooring is being adhered to the concrete floor, the bond can be only as strong as the layer below it. So for example, if there is pre-existing paints, adhesives, or epoxies, the flooring may adhere, but if those products de-laminate from the concrete below, the flooring can fail resulting in thousands of dollars to repair. Also, floor typically has installation tolerances that only allow for so much in terms of high and low areas of the concrete that are out of level, or not flat. For this reason, Levelit Floor Leveling will inspect the concrete to give a proposal for the following:

  • Grinding profile needed

  • Inspection of the concrete slab being level / flat.

  • If the concrete is currently suitable to apply flooring

  • Options to properly grind the concrete

HOW DOES LEVELIT TAKE QUALITY CONTROL SERIOUSLY? We take pride in making sure each project is up to our standards. After each of our grinding projects, we come back to inspect our work for being truly level/flat, bonding properly, etc. We will show you in person what we look for in a quality concrete floor pour during our quality control visit.

HOW MUCH DOES FLOOR GRINDING COST? This can vary based on how variation at high spots or peaks, total sq ft, accessibility, power availability, etc. Its a wide range, but typically it can be anywhere from $1/sq ft to $5/ sq ft. But, we realize that may want a rough idea before scheduling a consultation. Feel free to call us with the following information, and we would be happy to give you a ballpark idea before we come out in person.

  1. How many sq ft concrete needs grinding?

  2. How far from flat is the current concrete floor? (for example, with level flat on concrete, is it 1/2" off? or 1" off?)

  3. Any adhesives, flooring, asbestos, etc. on the substrate currently?

Projects

Would you like to have a better idea of how your floor leveling project might look like? Feel free to check out the following projects from the Denver Metro in Colorado.

Brighton, CO

This is a small pour for bathroom LVP project in Brighton, CO. There was dip in the floor that we were able to correct using floor leveler.

Denver, CO

In this Denver basement, there was a wall removed which left a height difference between the concrete slab on one side to the other of about 1/2". After grinding and prepping the surface, we poured floor leveler across the whole room.

Erie, CO

At this project, we poured floor leveler across the whole basement. It involved damming a few areas, taking off the baseboard, sealing all the edges, and then pouring self-leveler across the whole basement.

Denver, CO

In this Denver basement, there was a wall removed which left a height difference between the concrete slab on one side to the other of about 1/2". After grinding and prepping the surface, we poured floor leveler across the whole room.
